The centennial planning has also incorporated local landscape and ecology into the building of urban views, which, in turn, gives rise to naturally open space. In northern Kaohsiung, rocks, waterweeds and wooden pegs, instead of concrete and cement, have been used to replicate the complicated water ecology in the 34-hectare Neiweibei Cultural Park, in which diverse biological beings can rest and reproduce. The Zhouzi Bog, nearby Zuoying's Lotus Lake, has also been built with natural building materials, and this landscape can be called an urban legend.
