[Kaohsiung News] The Kaohsiung City Government held a municipal administrative meeting at the Net-Zero Institute on November 19, during which Mayor Chen Chi-mai reminded the heads of various agencies and departments to be fully prepared for the Kaohsiung City Council's comprehensive policy inquiry on the 20th.

As the weather is gradually turning cooler, Mayor Chen directed the Social Affairs Bureau, the Civil Affairs Bureau, and district offices to also extend appropriate care to vulnerable groups, such as the homeless and elderly individuals living alone. Additionally, he requested that the Fire Bureau increase public awareness of fire, electricity, and gas safety.

Recognizing the rapid emergence of AI and related applications, the city government invited Steve Sun, Chief Information Officer of Taishin Financial Holdings, to deliver a keynote presentation on "AI Trends" before the meeting. With over 30 years of experience in fintech, Mr. Sun oversees digital transformation, AI integration, and financial innovation at Taishin Financial Holdings, and spearheads the company's advanced applications of AI technology. Following the presentation, Mayor Chen presented Mr. Sun with a certificate of appreciation and a commemorative gift in gratitude.

This lecture aimed to familiarize city officials with the latest AI applications in the financial industry and inspire discussions on the potential of AI technology in public service. The session encouraged exploration of ways to responsibly integrate AI into the public sector in a secure and legal condition to enhance government service efficiency.
