【Kaohsiung News】 Get 15% off on Kaohsiung’s on-street parking fees by using one of the seven mobile payment apps, including "LinePay," "O'Pay," "FriDay57," "Pi Wallet," "JKOPay," "Autopass," and "OnePaid," from July 1 to December 31, 2020. The discount is offered to users who make payment within the due date, and users will earn reward points offered by each mobile payment provider as well.
The Kaohsiung City Government is encouraging citizens to use mobile payments for on-street parking. The 10% discount campaign launched in the first half of 2020 received a favorable response in that the usage rate of mobile payments has risen from less than 1% to 10%. To further boost usage and enable citizens to enjoy the convenience of mobile payments that allow them to check and pay instantly without the need to leave their home, the Acting Mayor Yang Ming-Jou announced a 15% discount scheme for the second half of this year.
A mobile payment user, Mr. Jhang, said that the average parking fee he needed to pay per month was about NT$1,500, and with the 15% discount, the amount he saves every month allows him to buy 5 more cups of beverages.
