Santuo commercial district, is the most famous flower market in Kaohsiung City. The flowers here are usually sold in bundles. If you simply want to make your home sweet and fragrant by adding some flowers to it, this place is definitely the choice, for flowers sold in bundles are much cheaper than those sold individually by retail outlets.
Instead of beautiful bouquets, flowers bought here are usually wrapped in newspaper and tied up with red string. If you want to get bouquets or flower baskets, an extra packing charge is requested.
On the first and fifteenth day of each lunar month, and during the Chinese New Year, the flower market on Hsingchung Road will always be bustling with shoppers. |
