    Kangshan Ben-Chou Industrial Zone

    Kang-Shan Ben-Chou Industrial Zone is a multi-functional and knowledge-based industrial zone.

    * The Industrial Park


      The Ben-Chou Industrial Zone in Gangshan Township, Kaohsiung city was developed by Taiwan Development and Trust Corporation under authorization of the City Government. The zone suits the needs of medium and small enterprises in that it mainly consists of industrial installations with a flexible street plan

    The 207-hectare Kang-Shan Ben-Chou Industrial zone is primarily developed for manufacturing industries. Related industrial service areas are of secondary importance in this coordinated effort with the Kaohsiung Science Park to create a multi-functional and knowledge-based industrial zone. The zone, comprising the Environmental Science and Technology Park and the logistics area, can accommodate both middle- and down-stream firms.

             

    * Transportation

      1.Public Road & Highway

      * Beginning from Taipei in the north, the Provincial Highway Tai. 1 passes through the north-eastern part   of the industrial zone before erminating in Pingdong in the south.
      * Provincial Highway Tai 17 in the western part of the industrial zone meets the West Coast Highway in   Tainan to the north and leads to Kaohsiung and Nanzih in the south.
      * City Route No. 186 passes through the southern part of the industrial zone, linking Provincial  Highway Tai 17 in the west and the expressway in the east.This connecting highway at the Gangshan nterchange is also an important eastbound route in the Gangshan and Yanchao areas.

    2. Railroad:The industrial zone is only a kilometer away from Gangshan Station in the West Coast railway system.

    3. Air:Air transport at Gangshan is very convenient with frequent flights at Tainan Airport in the north and ohsiung International  Airport in the south.

    4. Sea:Kaohsiung Harbor is the main commercial port for export and import in Taiwan.

    The area plan mainly covers manufacturing industries, giving secondary importance to related industrial service areas. To create a functional and knowledge-based industrial zone, 76 hectares of the 207-hectare land is developed for public installations including green parks.
